It's the last day of March

In the year twenty twenty one

Not the last day of the civil rights march. 

How we keep goin' on

From Breonna Taylor

To George Floyd,

To voter suppression,

Yet some say, 'these protests have begun to cloy.'

But when gun  laws

Go easy on restrictions

Then the outlaws

Are absolved of all moral obligations

But the license to kill

With a possibility of probation

And the level of blood spill

Fuels the inferno of demonstrations. 

Asians are getting snapped

School kids are constantly kidnapped

#StopAsianHate is trending

#JusticeForBreonna is pending

Covid origins is mind-bending

And the global update is heart-rending. 

Can we steal one minute of silence?

It's all we need to check this violence.
