Breathe a little prayer
Let the world begin to heal
Standing under this foyer
Let justice flow downhill
Like a never ending stream
Speak to that mountain
Say, 'You gon' bust like a cloud
Pregnant with rain
And grant entrance to this crowd.'
People of this world are strongest
When we ease one another's stress.
We can quell any disaster
And rob the newscaster
Of breaking bad news
Reduce the string of misty blues.
If we touch heaven
On the double code seven,
Perfect interceding
From hearts ever bleeding
We'll bring heaven
Down and strife will shrivel.
Faith like a mustard seed
Will put a lid
On the eye of the storm
If only we heed this call.
