The Mars Deception

Check the compass

We're all about Mars

Hauling feet en masse

Talking all that jazz

But I'll pass

Weather conditions surpass

This low grade razz

And overrated crass.

What about the dew that traps

The stars in a blade of grass?

What about that lil' lass'

Hope of a fighting chance?

Have you done the math?

Count the consequence,

Put the horse behind the cart

For a second, brightsparks

Before we're roast lab rat.

This is reality uncensored

Time to pull all the stops

Calling all aliases

Upgrade your climate compliances

Earth

To the Dancers of Death!

This is where we belong

We don't know zilch about Venus

And Old Mars

Is riddled with old scars

Scars probably, telling us

That planet was once a suburb

Of beings of superior intelligence

Who lost it all perhaps, to negligence.

Along came a human

Pondering, 'Didn't they almost have it all?'

Forgetting he carbonized his own land

He's only there for Planet B

This would've been pure comedy

Had the situation not been ironic

We're the laughingstock

Of the universe

The carbon emissions say tiktok

And we've learned no lesson but the reverse.

So turn up the bass

Stop being an ass

Stop stacking up carcass

Ain't no time like now

Climate justice now!

We Cannot Walk Alone

Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated this day, 53 years ago.

We cannot walk alone.

We must bond each, bone to bone.

We cannot build a cone

But a plateau where each of us stands a clone

Of another and our skin tone

Attracts opposites into our zone.

We must arise and erect a home

Filled with love to write a tome.

As we all must hone

The simplest virtues till our work's done.

All dressed up in purple robes

A royal race flashing diamond strobes

We cannot walk alone

And hewn out a stone of hope

From Mt. Despair, we'll die a crone.

Only together are we dope,

We need a majority of one

And a minority of none

And all hatred, racism and inequality be gone.

Like Social Networks on our phone,

We gatto follow, friend forever and condone

One another's weakness like corn pone.

And each day, like Dr. King has shone

The light, we'll let love take the throne

And make our everyday, kindness-prone.

We cannot walk alone

We'll wander lonely as a drone

Only together will we change this globe.

Be A King

Sunday March 28th, was Ms. Bernice A. King's
(MLK's youngest child) 58th Birthday 🎉.
This verse is a tribute
.

I want to Be A King 👑

Who showers love like blingy bling

I'm goin' to flaunt my dream like a diamond ring 💍

And raise my voice till Freedom's bells ding🔔

I wanna be the force that bring

Relief to the weak urging 'em to cling.

I want to Be A King 👑

That makes justice swing

Low on the eternal string

Raise a song my people, with one voice, fling

Up to rain down a soulful spring.

I want to make hate cringe 😬

Like Covid against the syringe 💉

When it feels me on the fringe

Of manifesting a joy binge.

I wanna be the action that takes the sting 🐍

Off racism till it rots and stinks,

Bust a word from my sling

Nail it before it slinks.

And since it's my birthday 🎉 🎂

Why don't I wing't?

Pour out some juice n' celebrate 🥂

Like a chip off a real King. 👑
