I Am Not Osama

Please Donate visit: https://unh.cr/611ce1e8124

I am not Osama

I didn't topple The Twin Towers

To put Afghanistan

On the world map

I am not the Islamist,

A muslim fundamentalist

What I mean is

I am not a terrorist

And I do not deserve any

Of the things happening to me

Because I am not Osama

I didn't bring on my dilemma

Because I am not the Taliban

A cousin to Al Qaeda

That's why I live in absolute fear

As imminent death draws near

Because I am not Osama

Who implicated Afghanistan

But I am Afghanistan

Who betrayed Osama

And welcomed the Allies

Yet once again, Talibanised,

The world has abandoned me

To the hands of those who mistreat

Me and profit from my misery,

To the fate of a hasty retreat,

War rapes my land with impunity

I am not Osama

I am not a mad man

Enslaved by thoughts of

World domination

Who triggered a crisis of

Significant proportion.

Please, cut the blame game

I'm in dire need of critical aid

I am Afghanistan

I am a million children

Crying out from the bleachers

A circumstantial evidence

Of a game of role reversal

Gone awfully wrong.

I need humanitarian support

While all hope is not lost

I am Afghanistan

I am the voice of the free woman

Caught up in the trap

Of being married off to claptrap

I am a man

Who's lost every reason to stand

Every claim

To earn my daily bread.

I am Afghanistan

Don't turn your back,

Don't color me bad.

Juneteenth '21

Juneteenth commemorates emancipation of African-American slaves on June 19, 1865
Today, President Biden signed a bill declaring it a US National Holiday.

There's a brand new holiday

A prophetic hallelujah day,

Cause ain't nobody dig freedom

Like a man who's been a slave

Ain't nobody crave a destination

Like the man on the inside of a cage,

So as we descend the mountaintop

On the Canaan side

The Promised Land awaits us,

With the tears in our eyes

And with open arms we receive

The Glory of the coming

Of the Lord,

Cause we've been free

And we've been crushed,

But nothing can compare

To this beauty revealed in us.

The mountains are laid bare

And the dreams of our fathers,

The hopes of our mothers

Fill up the valleys of despair

Now on June 19th of every year

We mark a holiday for freedom.

Juneteenth is the new word

A worthy trade for emancipation

Of the people of color

And everybody who loves freedom.

Unlike Some People

Courtesy: @Flawolffie (Twitter)

People have no shame

They talk a good game

And stockpile the blame

Then when the winds change

They switch places

And turn on the hypocritical phases.

Their verbs are tame

Their fight is lame

Their manicured voices

Produce empty words

They feign noesis

With views twisted to absurd.

These people

That have no shame

Are becoming the staple

For throwing a shade.

Can't get their acts together

Cause they're strung one on the other.

Some people have no shame

It's why they still in the game

Long after the ovation fades.

They trade one excuse

Only to promote laws that confuse,

And when their gang of losers lose

They jump ship and ditch their crews.

I don't know, mate

But some people have no shame.

03/13

Breonna Taylor was shot dead by cops
while sleeping in her boyfriend's home
during a botched police raid. No police
officer was convicted for her death.

Taylor

My verse for Breonna,

Weave it on a tapestry of valor

This scene be like the setting of a thriller,

A real-life nightmare on the rocks,

Cops come creeping all up your block

Yous in there sleeping but still get slugged.

No conviction for the killer in the cops

And the system that endorse the corpse

They shoot and shrug it under a copse

Of their flawed laws.

But louder than shots

In the still of the night

Is the voice of my words:

Now's the time to get it right,

Now's the time to hit the lights.

Come, take out the logs

From your moral eyes

And see the desolation

Your denial did device;

This is a stand

For the race of man,

A fight for justice for Breonna,

Because black lives matter.

And if somebody mutters,

'Is he for real?

That brother he just dreaming.'

Tell 'em 'Please, don't wake him up.'

Cause I won't stop

Till I get to the mountaintop.
